Hello Fancher Creek Families!
I hope you had a safe 4th of July holiday and enjoyed time with
your children. I wanted to take a minute to send an update before we get
too much further into the month. Please take a few minutes to read the
2020-2021 Student Registration: If
you received this email your child or children are registered at Fancher
Creek. If you have
a younger child ready to start Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten or
have a new neighbor with children, there is still time to register for school.
For the month of July all new student registrations are being completed online
with the help of our Student Services department. Please go to www.cusd.com to complete the pre-registration
paperwork. You will be contacted to submit all the documents
that are required to complete registration. We cannot place your
child into a class until all paperwork has been completed. Most of our grade levels are very
full, so please hurry to complete registration as soon as possible.
2020-2021 Parent-Teacher Club
Officers: Last month, parents and staff were asked to
submit nominations for the four offices on the Fancher Creek PTC Board.
After nominations were received, a ballot was sent to all parents and staff to
vote. I am pleased to announce the 2020-2021
Parent-Teacher Club Board...

There are still many opportunities to support Fancher Creek through the
Parent-Teacher Club. Committee
Chair positions are still open and will be filled at our first PTC meeting
after school starts. We hope to have many parents join us
this year. Everything the PTC does goes back to our school and we could
not do it without our parent and staff volunteers.
Survey: We just received information about the results of
our 2nd Parent Survey that was sent to all parent emails on file
June 26th. Thank you so much for completing the survey!
We received information for 411 students about re-opening preferences.
This information will help us plan once our Governing Board votes on the
re-opening plan on Wednesday, July 15th. The meeting will be live streamed for public viewing
starting at 6:30 PM on the 15th for those interested
in hearing the discussion and vote. Our district and I will be sending
out information once we know what re-opening will look like. Our planning
has already begun and we will finalize plans and communicate to parents later
in the month.
As Back-To-School ads and sales begin, please be sure to consider supply needs
for your child to complete homework at home, personal supplies they may need at
school, as well as the dress code for school clothes. I would encourage
families to wait on purchasing school clothes until we know more about the
re-opening plan, but homework supplies will be needed for any plan. Items like pencils, crayons, pencil
sharpener, erasers, a highlighter, and paper are basic supplies that will help
students in all grade levels. We will be in touch
with Back-To-School planning tips after July 15th.
Email and text messages to all parents and staff using this platform allows us
to reach many parents, but another great communication tool is Class Dojo. Parents
can download the app on their cell phones and register for Fancher Creek
Elementary. Our staff posts class and school information as well as
reminders. This is a spot I frequently send reminders as well and just
another way to communicate with as many parents as possible. Take a few
minutes to download the app if you do not have it on your phone. We will
be posting to our school story throughout the summer. Thank you!
